Luis Miguel Jiménez
I begin my studies at the Musical Association "Harmony" with D. Antonio Sanchez.
Later I join the Conservatory of Music in Getafe, where I study euphonium and trombone with D. Francisco Muñoz Pavón, and where I end with the highest marks.
Later I join the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid where I do my higher studies with D. Miguel Moreno Guna.
I have taken courses in advanced instrumental with D. Roger Bobo, Sam Pilafian, Michel Godart and Enrique Crespo, John Sass, etc.
I have also taken condcuctor courses with Marcos Vega, Lutz Koller, Francisco Lara, etc.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I taught trombone and tuba in the Music Association "Harmonia" in Parla. I also worked as a professor of secondary education in various institutes in Madrid.
I have worked with various groups such as the "New Acoustic Quintet" and Brass Octet "Harmonia Brass Ensemble"
which I have done educational concerts for thousands of students and numerous concerts for the City of Madrid.
I have also played with different orchestras, such as the Orchestra of the Community of Madrid at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
I conducted the Wind Band of the Music Association of Parla "Harmonia" and the Wind Band in Zamora.
Since 1999 I have been a tuba teacher by a public competition at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Salamanca and conductor of the Symphonic Band in this center.
Since 2005 I have been the founder conductor of Youth Symphonic Band of Castilla y Leon. And since 2006 I have been the artistic director too.
I composed the anthem of the Federation of Music Bands of the Community of Madrid, and the Hymn of the Villa de Parla.
OTHER
I graduated in political science in the Complutense University of Madrid
